MASTERCLASS 2025

MASTER TOPOLOGY

Master Topology is the foundation of creating high-quality, versatile 3D models. It involves structuring geometry efficiently to ensure smooth deformation during animation and optimal rendering. Proper mesh density and edge flow are crucial; they enhance the model's performance and realism by maintaining detailed features without unnecessary complexity. Learning master topology ensures clean, organized mesh flows, minimizing artifacts and enabling effective edits, making your 3D designs suitable for diverse applications in games, films, and simulations.

HARD-SURFACE SCULPTING

3D Sculpting Hard Surfaces in ZBrush combines the precision of traditional modeling with the creative freedom of digital sculpting. Utilizing masks allows for controlled modifications, enabling intricate extrusions and recesses to define hard surface features. By avoiding pre-made stamps, you ensure that each design remains unique and tailored to the specific project. This method provides the freedom to focus on creative detail without the constraints of topology, allowing more fluid and innovative design.

MANAGING 3D MODELS

Managing Complex 3D Models with hundreds of pieces requires a strategic approach to maintain efficiency and organization. Effective use of hierarchical structuring and grouping helps streamline the modeling process, allowing for easier manipulation and navigation. Naming conventions and layers are essential for tracking individual components. Additionally, employing modular design principles facilitates updates and revisions, while optimizing performance through proper instancing and LOD (Level of Detail) techniques ensures smooth operation. This approach maximizes both productivity and quality in intricate 3D projects.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

Join my exclusive 4-week mentorship program, designed to advance your skills in 3D Digital Asset Creation. This hands-on mentorship is designed to help you refine your skills, develop a professional workflow, and stay ahead in the 3D industry.

Who Is This For?

This course is ideal for artists with a solid foundation in 3D modeling and proficiency in software like Blender, Maya, or ZBrush. A portfolio showcasing previous work is recommended.

Course Options

• Runs for 4 weeks
• Two 2-hour lessons per week (typically Mondays & Thursdays)
• Total of 16 hours of in-depth learning
• Live sessions conducted via Zoom for convenience and flexibility
• Lessons can be recorded, allowing you to download and revisit them anytime
• Practical exercises and feedback sessions to refine your skills

This program is limited to just 3 participants per session, ensuring personalized attention and tailored feedback. I will be teaching in Blender, but you’re free to use any 3D software you prefer (Maya, 3ds Max, ZBrush, etc.), as the core techniques and workflows are universal. The focus is on workflow efficiency and theory, not just specific tools.

Course Structure

You can choose from two specialized tracks:
1. 3D Modeling Techniques – Covering essential modeling tools, topology, and complex shape creation.
2. Hard Surface Concept Sculpting in ZBrush – Exploring sculpting workflows for hard-surface design and advanced detailing techniques.
3. Blender for Beginners – A complete introduction to Blender, covering modeling, interface navigation, shading, lighting, and rendering. Perfect for those new to the software.
